About this Course:
This course will present the tools, techniques and tips of the trade that are used by Web programmers to enhance a Web site via CGI programs and present dynamic information.

Attendees will learn the methodologies of the Common Gateway Interface model and how to utilize the Perl programming language to write CGI programs. Several hands-on programming exercises will be presented, supplemented with lecture, to instruct the attendee in various topics. Attendees will actually generate dynamic Web content based on browser capabilities, write programs that access database files, implement a shopping cart, build an HTTP referrer and create a program that continuously updates the browser.

Who Should Attend:
This course is intended for moderately experienced programmers with a desire to learn CGI programming in Perl to add dynamic content to their Web site. Web masters, web developers and planners, system and network administrators and managers, computer programmers.

Level: Intermediate to Advanced.
