For several years UniNews has brought news about Women in Technology International (WITI) to the UniForum community as we felt that the contribution WITI has, and is making, to support the role women play in technology should be recognized.A number of months ago WITI undertook what was, by far, their most ambitious project - a survey of women designed to find out specifics not only about who they were and what they were paid, but about their self-image and self-esteem, their thoughts for others entering technology careers; in sum a remarkable report on the business impact women are having on the technology industry.
The results of this survey are now available and UniNews is proud to present to its readers a comprehensive synopsis of the findings. It is through efforts by groups like WITI that our industry stays fresh. By encouraging debate and by shining lights in the corners, their work has value to us all.
